Grammar Foundations
The building blocks of English - nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, articles, and relative clauses - taught through use, not memorisation.
A six-month certificate building practical command of English across two levels - grammar, vocabulary, listening and speaking, writing, and the modern digital tools that accelerate language learning.
Most people who study English for years still cannot use it - because grammar was taught as theory, never as practice. The Certificate in English is built the other way. Across six months and two levels, scholars build working command of the language: grammar foundations, vocabulary and listening technique, structured speaking and pronunciation practice, practical writing, and the modern digital tools - AI assistants, translation tools, and language apps - that accelerate learning when used correctly.
Level One builds the foundations; Level Two moves to detailed grammar, tenses, passive voice, and practical usage in real contexts. The program concludes in a supervised final assessment - a spoken presentation and a writing portfolio - against the program's defined learning outcomes.
The program is delivered across two levels - foundations, then advanced usage - structured as taught modules combining grammar, the four language skills, practical writing, and digital learning tools. Each module concludes with a graded exercise, and the program concludes with a supervised final assessment.
The building blocks of English - nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, articles, and relative clauses - taught through use, not memorisation.
Systematic vocabulary building and listening technique - helping verbs, pronouns, and training the ear to follow natural spoken English.
Spoken fluency through structured voice practice - sentence structure, pronunciation drills, and dubbing-style speaking technique that builds natural delivery.
The habits and motivation that sustain language learning - changing study behavior, sustaining momentum, and building a daily English practice.
Using modern tools to accelerate learning - AI assistants, translation tools, and language-learning apps, and how to use each correctly without depending on them.
Practical writing for work and life - formal and informal letter writing, and the fundamentals of clear, persuasive copywriting.
Level Two - detailed grammar, tenses and their usage, passive voice, and practical grammar applied in real spoken and written contexts.
Each scholar completes a final spoken and written assessment - a presentation and a writing portfolio - under faculty supervision, demonstrating working command of English against the program's defined learning outcomes.
